P

aul Di Giovanni started Star Roofing in 1991 — the same year the Washington Redskins won the Super Bowl and Capitol Hill rowhouses were selling for a fraction of what they fetch today. He started with a truck, a small crew, and the same belief he still holds: show up when you say you will, do the work right, and don't oversell.

Most of his business comes from neighbors telling neighbors. A leak on D Street leads to a call from E Street. A flat roof on 10th SE leads to a referral on 8th. Paul has been on more Capitol Hill rooftops than probably anyone else in the city — and he remembers most of them.

He doesn't have a sales team, a call center, or a dispatch software. When you call (202) 543-6383, Paul picks up. He'll come out, look at what you've got, and tell you honestly what it needs — and what it doesn't.

Talk to Paul. Not to a script.
